My brother had a VOyager that he transferred his contacts to the Droid X with Verizon's contacts manager. Now I'm just wondering how do we sync the contacts on the phone to his gmail account because they're not showing up.

Download it from Verizon as a CSV file and then upload it into Gmail through Contacts/Import.

On my phone i can open my contacts then hit menu and i get the option to export my contacts to my sdcard as a vcard file. I can then open gmail and import the vcard to my account.

    Hope this helps..

thanks, i told my bro to do this but he says he doesn't see an "Export" option in his contacts -_-

On my EVO, it's under Contacts > Menu > Import/Export. is it the same for the Droid X also? I'm thinking he's looking under the Call History list?

You should be able to select the menu button, then accounts, select the gmail account that was set up on the phone and then select sync contacts.
