how do i remove apk files for things i dont use?

    stocks and other things i dont use id like to remove from the rom im using. im not trying to steal the rom and i wont upload it anywhere. im using gridlocks vanilla droid, how do i delete the apk's and not have a problem with those files not being in the rom?

    you need to be rooted, then you remove them from the adb shell command line.

    i have gridlocks vanilla droid rooted 2.1. can you explain the procedure a little more in depth please

    mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system
    rm /system/apps/Teeter.*

    im getting $ after i type adb shell not #. its a rooted 2.1 rom from gridlock vanilla eris. what could be the problem? i also want to add teeter to this rom and the phone wont let me.

    after $ type "su" and hit enter, your phones SU app will start up, just hit "allow" and you'll get the # sign then.
