    Hi,

Does anyone know how to make typing a text message silent? With my Samsung the first character is silent in the message but all subsequent characters each seem to come with a sound that sounds like a 'snap'. I'm using the default text message application that came with the phone.

I have the default sound to be silent but I think that this is mostly related to things like plugging in and out the power cable, etc. As it stands I'd like to find a way to type my text messages silently.

    Kind regards,
    M

Tnx. That is one solution alright. Would there be any other way though without having to silence all the ringing tones on each occasion I want to surf the web, write text messages, etc. Maybe there is a free app for this - he says hopefully.

If you go into settings> Local & Text there are setting for your keyboards, go into each keyboard and uncheck sound on keypress.
