If I already upgraded my Droid X Unrooted phone to Froyo 2.2 with an earlier version I assume I will have to roll back to 2.1 to get the automatic update tomorrow. Is there a way to wait for one of the android sites to get the latest version, download it and do the upgrade myself? If I have to roll it back, what is the best way to do it?

won't someone most likely just release an update.zip which will take us from the first froyo leak to official froyo?

Sounds way easier than going back to 2.1

I would think that someone will create a 2.2 (2.3?) SBF, but again, you'd lose all your apps and settings, and that will take a little time.

I think we should wait a few days to find out. There will be no major differences between the leaked version and the OTA. 2.3.9 and 2.3.15. Probably very minor bug fix at most.

If we go back to 2.1 with that method do we have to reinstall our apps? And also how do we keep our setting for all our apps, I know Titanium will for rooted but whats the best one for none rooted users. thanks

You'll have to reinstall them. I haven't used it but I think appbrain might make the process easier.
