I haven't seen a similar thread so I decided to make one.

When buying my EVO on the 4th, the guy as RS called it the "E V O" spelling out the three letters as if it were an acronym for something. I personally call it the "EVO" as a word sounding something like "eee vo"

So I'm curious...How do YOU pronounce it?

That's exactly how I say it and thought it was meant to be said. I've talked to a few friends who've got one and gotten mixed responses. One of them is a rep in the Sprint call center and he told me that people who call in are saying it both ways on about a 50/50 basis. Just thought I'd see what people here thought.

It is suspect that the EVO part is all caps... nonetheless I will always call it the Eee-Voh.

Same here. When I was getting the phone activated at the Sprint store, one of the reps was on hold with activation and had it on speakerphone. On the recording, they spelled it out like E-V-O, which I thought was weird. It is all caps, so maybe you're supposed to spell it out?

I pronounce it like a word eee-vo. I couldn't believe it when I called up sprint to get my activation fee waived and the automated recording pronounced it like it was spelled out eee-vee-ohh.

I think the real question here is what people who are spelling it out E-V-O think the letters mean.

Oh, and I say it Eee-Voh

Whats funny is that the Sprint operator pronounces it by saying each individual letter.

    Eee Vee Ohh
