I can not wait anymore for cupcake. Ive always wanted to root my G1, but im not computer savvy enough to do it on my own and all of the youtube videos that show you how to do it are with windows computers. Does anyone know a site or video that teaches one how to root a G1 from a mac? Links and videos would be helpful, Thanks!

All you need to do is transfer files from your computer to your G1 to root. I didn't need to use my computer at all except to do that.

Guess it depends on what type of process your following...

Use your mac to go online and order a PC.
    Then use the PC.

Just try it out and see what happens, I have a Mac with Leopard and have yet to try it out. All you have to do is download the files and transfer them to your SD card...there is only one file you have to unzip but it should be fine. If you that worried about it have a friend you know let you use his comp or....you couls load windows onto your Mac using bootcamp. If you have Leopard it is already on your comp. and make sure you use XP....in my opinion its a lot more stable.

So I just did it on my Mac and it worked. No I did not use the windows side. I found the only thing I needed a PC for was to format my SD card to Fat32 but im sure it could be done. Other then that when you download look for the items to go to your downloads folder and not directly to the desktop. Hope this helps....now im going to go cook mac and cheese
