I can go to manaage apps / all, then click on each messenger app i have, but they all have the clear defaults grayed out, (and says no defaults set) so it's not possible to go that route as far as i know.
You can disable notifications for the stock messaging app and use the 3rd party messaging app you want. The only options you get to leave it as a default option is for a specific task like messaging someone from contacts and choosing one out the other as the default for that action. How this helps.
Just curious, which one are you using?
I really didn't look around too much first, but i am using Handcent much more than my stock messaging app. I was really just looking for an app that had better eye appeal more than anything.
I just get annoyed hearing two notifications going off at the same time and having to check them both.
Another question i have that nobody has responded to in another thread is, why wont either of the messaging apps send pictures to certain contacts? Other contacts will receive the pictures every time.
This is sending to friends using AT&T and Verizon both.
