I plan to buy a second (cheap) rooted and Playstore enabled tablet for a kid. I want to set it up for the kid with a few games - downloading the apps from the PC.

I was wondering how that would work with the Playstore since now it always defaults to my Nexus 7. If I have 2 tablets, can I then select to which tablet to install the selected app ??

Yes as long as the same Gmail account is being used, you can add as many devices you want. I currently have a Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 7 And there's a drop down so you can select which device to use.

Nexus 7, Samsung S3 and Wildfire S all work perfectly well for me. If there's a limit, I suspect I'm a long way from it.
