AS per the question, how many of the HTC apps require you to be online to do anything? Like are they all weather, sat nav, or use the internet to show you locations, and such?

I'm just wondering how many apps will require me to use GPRS when outside of a wifi zone, which would be quite a lot of places really!

Well, thanks for the "exact" answer. Anyone want to give me a serious answer? Are all the good apps online/internet required?

I doubt anyone has made the effort to check. As a general rule, figure any app that displays any kind of changing data (weather, news, for example) needs data access. As will any app that has ads.

If you really want to know for sure, go to the applications list under settings, and open them one by one. You can find out exactly what permissions each one uses.

I was hoping for more of a user opinion, like "oh most of my apps have to go online," but okay, thanks for the answers.
