How many people use scenes?

    It's a great feature of the Sense UI but not something I can ever see me using. I have my home-screens set up how I want them and there is a good amount of space there for me to fit everything I need. If I ever want to change anything, I just alter my custom scene.

    So, just out of interest, am I alone here in not utilising the different scenes? Or are the majority like me and only need 1 scene?

    Never used it on my Hero or Desire, well apart from backing up every so often.

    i use them because i have different needs (and therefore shortcuts and widgets) when i'm at work and when i'm not.

    i would love to be able to switch scenes at the same time as switching profiles though ...

    So a scene I could have one set of custom home pages and widgets for say home, and another for work and switch between?

    I used to use it regularly for a couple days when i first got the Desire so I had different apps for when I was at Home, then Uni. However after applying a previous scene back, i got the dreaded message "The Application HTC Sense (process com.htc.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly" and I couldnt remove the message, it was a horrible loop.

    Luckily I backed up my contact data to SD card before it packed up but it forced me to do a factory reset.

    I havent used scenes since haha.

    I didn't even realise you could do this. I can fit everything on to the 7 home screens, any more stuff and I'm just being greedy!

    Can i ask if different scenes remember different sound profiles?

    I might be tempted to have scenes for 'silent', 'vibrate' and 'normal' as a quick way to access different sound profiles.

    Or, is there a quick way to do that instead?

    Um, press and hold the power button and change there?

    The volume controls will also allow you to go down to vibrate and silent.

    Cheers guys, only rebooted once so not pressed the power button often! I ought to RTFM really!

    Back to topic i might set up some scenes anyway, was one of the reasons the phone and OS appealed to me so much.

    I might have one for the car, with a couple of pages of people shortcuts.

    Do you guys find having seven screens full of widgets eats up your battery? I tend to just use three or so so screens and tend to have links to programs rather than widgets. I guessed having lots of stuff running would drain the power.

    I might them use them one day but right now there's no need. The only part of the phone I use for work is the calendar (for reminders) and messages/phone, which I also use for free time too - so I have everything on the one scene.

    Does any body know how to add short cuts and widget to scenes so they are already open when you go them, like the pre-set scenes. All I get is a little icon which you have to click on?

    Try the free app `any cut` - it'll probably let you do it.

    Only just really discovered scenes and the ability to totally customize them - what a numbnut - loving them :D
