I am due for my NE2 which qualifies me for $100 off. Out the door will I have to pay $100 or $200? I have been reading different things. Does it matter if I buy at a VZ store or online? Thanks!

It is $199 with a 2-year contract after the $100 mail-in-rebate, but if you buy online the $100 rebate is an instant rebate. With your NE2 discount of $100, I'd expect it to be $99.

I would expect the same thing as well... whether NE2 can be applied to pre-orders, however, is another story.

I'm pretty sure it can. My NE2 was supposed to become available on the 29th. I emailed VZW and asked if I could use it on the pre-order. They wrote me back and said they moved my NE2 up to the 19th so that I could use it on the pre-order.

    From their email:

My NE2 Discount is only $50. Is the amount of the NE2 discount dependent on what plan you have? Also is a two year contract required to get the discount?

With my NE2 discount it looks like I should be able to get the incredible for $149. From what I understand a one year contract usually cost $70 more. I was hoping that I may be to get the Inc with a one year contract for around $220.

There are 4 types of NE2, the new cheap and new expensive plans, and the old cheap and old expensive plans.

I think it works like this:
    Old Expensive - $100 Credit.
    Old Cheap - $50 Credit.
    New Expensive - $50 Credit.
    New Cheap - $30 Credit.

I think the break off date for the "old" requirement was... February 2008?

it should be 100$ then. to check you can go to MyVerizon and "pretend" to upgrade when you get to choose phones it will show on there.

FYI, you MUST sign up for a 2-year contract to get the NE2 rebate...

    Hi, my first post here.

Crashumbc, are you sure NE2 only applies to two year contracts? I got my Centro two years ago but was only on a one year contract and still got my NE2 yesterday.

Trying to decide. By online or in the store.

I'm on the old $39.99 phone plan with add on Data and Tethering and I got $50 for NE2.

I can vouch for the 2-year for NE2. I tried 1-year and all of a sudden the NE2 discount disappeared.

I was talking about signing about for a new 2-year contract now. When I go to the online order form for phones if I select anything but "2year contract" price. the NE2 discount disappears from the phone's discounts.

So I went into a Best Buy over the weekend, and spoke w/ the gal at the Verizon booth.

I asked her if you can get a one year contract w/ the Incredible, and she said no, you can only get a two year contract for this phone.

Can anyone else verify this?

I can see pricing for a one year contract on my VZN account so it is available. Might be only Best Buy requires a two year.
