How to access other country google playstore?

Hi,

Is there anyway I can access other countries google playstore ? I live in australia and my wife whom i'm trying to convince to move to an adroid device needs access to japanese apps and magazines. I assume there would be a japan specific google playstore.

I'm hoping to get this done without rooting the device.

any suggestions ?
