How to add my own photo so that others will see in their contacts?

I have an understanding of how to manually add a photo for contacts on my T Mobile Galaxy S (Vibrant) phone, but I don't know how to add a photo of myself that will appear in other's contact lists. I have noticed many of my friends have photos that are appearing in my contact list without my ever having done this manually myself. I would like to select my own photo that will appear in others in the same manner. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you.

Do you have Facebook set to sync up with your contacts? The photos you see might be their Facebook profile photo.

I don't know of a way to add a photo on your phone that will appear on someone elses phone.

If your friends have Android devices, those photos could be from the pictures they put as their profile pic in G+. I noticed when I put a pic in my G+ profile, every google service that is linked to that email address has the G+ pic of me.

You actually don't have to have a G+ account. If you log into gmail then at the top left it says "Gmail" in red letters with a drop down. Select that and go down to Contacts. Then you should see your name on the left. Mouse over that, then click on the profile picture to change it. Upload what you want and you should be good to go.

Yes, if you have a photo on your gmail acct, it will show up on their contacts. They have to have your gmail addy in their contact info, though.

So this only works if your contacts have Android phones that are synced with Google and Gmail, not iPhones or anything like that. I have over 100 contacts on my phone, don't think any of them use Google or Gmail. Got pictures for some contacts though, only because I added them myself.

I think I will be out of luck then. I have a gmail address solely for the purpose of having an Android phone and I don't share this address, or check email on the account ever. While people have my phone number in their contacts, they would not have this particular email address.
