Gosh, one of those annoying things.
I seem to have a problem downloading and saving pdf files that have been sent as an email to me , in Gmail.

In the gmail application I am able to preview the pdf file but i do not see the option to download and save it.

I seem not to have a problem downloading other file formats.

    thanks

Download an app called "blackmoon attachment save". When you press "Preview" blackmoon opens and asks if you want to open it or save it.

That worked perfectly! I've been struggling over this for 2 days. It's frustrating because when I'm on the train, I'm unable to down the file from gmail.

FINALLY, this app download worked. Thanks so much for sharing!!!

On my HTC Thunderbolt 2.3.4 Gingerbread, it appears that both Download and Preview work the same -- they open (display) the PDF document.

Very subtle, but Download also leaves the document in the sdcard/download directory where it can be opened again later, or moved/renamed etc with a file manager app.

Duplicate names are suffixed automagically so you won't see a "file already exists" message.
