Help how to get rid of Repeating SMS notification (appears in the status bar)

SMS notification keeps on repeating and appearing in my status bar.. and when i open the message.. its empty..

ive tired, turning off and on my phone ( samsung galaxy spica), tired using another sim card, tired to unchecked the notification in the notification settings and back to checking it again... but its still the same.. whenever i received some sms, the same empty msg would still appear!.. it`s starting to annoy me

Go into Messaging Settings and disable ALL notifications. Then replace the messaging app with Handcent app. (see market place).

Many many more features are available in Handcent, and using it will cure your SMS notificaition problems.

got the same problem. is there any other way besides switching to handcent?
