How to get smoother transitions?

now got a galaxy nexus, which totally beats the 3GS specs

But seems like my 3GS even though its slower, transitions, windows opening and scrolling and etc seem so fluid

But on my android scrolling through app drawer, changing screens etc all seem rather choppy...I've experienced this on my mytouch4g too...
Any suggestions? Anyone else notice this?

In your phone's settings there is Developer options. Inside it is Window & Animation transition scales. The default is probably set at 1.5. If you set the number of each higher you may have smoother transitions. If you set the number lower or even off your phone will transition faster.

Yep this definitely did the trick

Also went to display and changed setting to "display all animations"

Got a iPhone theme and now my android looks as sexy as ios but is much faster
