How to make my number private when I make calls?Support

    Hi there,

I just got the Samsung Galaxy S Captivate. Seems like a nice phone. Every phone I've had in the past (Nokia, Sony, etc...) has always allowed me to hide my number so that the call display on the receiver's phone shows my call as 'private'.

This is useful for when you don't want certain people to have your number when you call.

Is there a way to do this on the Galaxy S? I couldn't seem to find any setting how.

    Solutions?

    VG

    Try this:
    Settings/call settings/all calls/show my number/hide

What does the app offer that the setting within the phone doesn't? Just curious.

well, not every android phone has that setting, for one. My moto droid doesn't. and second, it lets you block your number on a per-call basis, instead of always doing it.

    Hello,
just put #31# infront of the number you want to call.
    In Germany it works.
