Root [How-To] Overclock your Droid X

I've tried that, when I use the "overclock.sh 1150000 45" and check the settings with "cat /proc/overclock/mpu_opps" the frequency is changed but the voltage is still at 66.
I found this to be true too. I eventually went to the setscaling method.

Soooooo you can used the setCPU app??

If you are root, then you can use it to UNDERCLOCK your phone. You still have to use the overclock.sh method to overclock the phone.

Has anyone gotten this to work after updating to Froyo? I updated earlier and tried the original guide from Fabolous and I get the following result:

"insmod: init_module '/system/lib/modules/overclock.ko' failed (Exec format error)

Could someone kindly help me out here?

The 2.1 version does not work with the 2.2 leaked froyo. Doing it the "old" way will not work. As of now, you cannot overclock.

insmod: init_module '/system/lib/modules/overclock.ko' failed (Exec format error)
#

This only works on 2.1.

Froyo is a no go for now, buddy... the kernel module only works with 2.1..

You will occasionally get a glitched score that is really high for some reason. Also there is the possibility that you have the build.prop file with the stagefright edit that gives a false high score by skipping part of the test. Someone got one that was 4000+ a while ago.

i dont think its glitched....whenever i run quadrant its always in that area. but if it is glitched how can i fix it?
