I am often using my Android browser when I come across a QR code. Is there any way to scan the QR code from within the browser? It seems absurd that I then have load that page on another monitor and then scan that monitor with goggles are barcode reader....

Hmm, many of these QR code images are actually dynamically created; here's for instance the QC code for a random app off of Androlib:
The uri of that image is "http://chart.apis.google.com/chart?cht=qr&chs=135x135&chl=market://search?q=pname:usbwebcam.application" and, as you can see in the part highlighted in green, contains the QR code data in cleartext.

I don't know the Android browser very well (I hardly ever surf on my phone), but is there a way to access the "image location" (for instance, by long-pressing an image) and grabbing the url from there?

    Just my 0.02...
