HOW TO STREAM SOPCAST TO YOUR ANDROID DEVICE (over Wi-Fi)
I know there is many sportsfans out there who wants to see streamed games on their Android smartphone. Many of you who watch live sports watch through a program called "Sopcast". Now it's possible to stream that game to your Android device.
To make this work, you'll need:
I. Sopcast (on your PC)
(link: Free Software Download - Free P2P internet TV | live football, NBA, cricket)
II. VLC Media player (on your PC)
(link: VideoLAN - Official page for VLC media player, the Open Source video framework!)
III. MX Video player (android app)
(link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mxtech.videoplayer.ad)
IV. Internet connection (Wi-Fi)
After opening a TV-channel in SopCast, rightclick on the screen and select "Properties". Copy the link after "Location" (usually it is http://127.0.0.1:8902/stream).
Now open VLC Media player and go to Media > Streaming...
Under streaming go to the "Network" tab and enter the link in network url. Press Stream. Click on Next. Under the tab "Destination" check the "Display locally" box. Select HTTP and press Add. Enter an open port in the port section. And below it enter your internal ip. For me it's (/192.168.1.68). Change the transcoding to "Video - WMV + WMA (ASF)" and press next. In "Generated stream output string" enter following:
:sout=#duplicate{dst=display,dst=std{access=http,mux=asf,dst=YOUR IPORT}}
and change 'YOUR IP' to your internal ip and the 'PORT' to your selected port.
in my case it is:
:sout=#duplicate{dst=display,dst=std{access=http,mux=asf,dst=192.168.1.68:1234}}
Press Stream. Check if the video is rolling in VLC. If it's good continue to your android device.
Open the MX Video player application. Press the menu button. Press "Network Stream". Enter your ip and port in this way: http://YOUR IPORT
In my case it is: http://192.168.1.68:1234
Now you will be able to see the stream on your android device from your PC!
