is there anyone to unlock my phone so i can use on any carrier? i was told this is possible with all android phones without the unlock code and software could take care of this.

i search the x10 subforum and didn't find anything.

you can debrand the phone so you would be able to use it with any sim card, will work with all carriers.

I don't believe de branding will SIM unlock a phone, what debranding does is get rid of provider's customization or bloatware.

The free way is to get the unlock code from the provider and if that is not possible then you would have to pay whether unlocking by code or by software.

i'm pretty sure if you debrand then run a fresh install of a generic rom you will be removing ALL restrictions imposed by the carrier.

No, SIM lock has nothing to do with the phone software.

If you run a "service exchange" before debranding it will also strip all existing locks
