How windows differentiate a SD card connected through android mobile and SD card reader

Hi can any one help me out regarding the following...

How windows differentiate a SD card connected through android mobile and SD card connected through a SD card reader.

If the SD-card is mounted and visible to Windows, it will appear exactly the same. The phone itself has become the SD-card reader.

Actually I am planning to develop an application in windows. It need to display only the SD cards connected through android mobile in it. When a SD card is connected through mobile phone or card reader or from a laptop inbuilt card reader (SD card slot) windows is recognizing as removable drives. so I am looking for information about how to filter other drives displayed in windows.
