    Hello!

I bought a HTC desire from a company called TKS in Germany. It was sim unlocked but T-mobile branded. I brought it to the UK and stuck a vodaphone sim in it.

I can get internet access but nothing else no 3G (symbol just wont indicate) and no GPRS. I have set the APN to vodaphone's WAP instructions but still no luck (i.e. when I try vodaphone live)

I've been sent a new sim card by vodaphone (just in case) and they say all is well on their end. HTC and TKS say it should not be a problem and it should have access to all..

Could it be a faulty handset? My settings? any help here would be much appreciated!

If you go into Menu>Settings>Wireless and networks>Mobile networks and untick and tick the "Data Enabled" or "Mobile network" or whatever the option is called to turn off the mobile data connection, then re-tick it... If it fails to connect, it should give you a reason why not if it fails.

Have you had it working in Germany? Have Voda definitely activated the 3G service on the SIM?
