HTC Desire apps blurry??

    On my htc desire, all of the apps are blurry, they are not wvga resolution as you would expect from a

    Your phone is dodgy I think, no apps blurry here.

    i think devs need to update the app resolution for newer phones :rolleyes:

    No apps blurry here either.

    I think developers have updated their app resolution...

    Can't think why this would happen. Would suggest ahrd reset and if it persits then its a dodgy unit. (or you've been using it after a visit to the chip shop) :p

    Apps on my Desire are the sharpest I've ever seen them! The Desire's screen is fantastic, (..well apart from its mirror like qualities in direct sun light! )

    My apps are very blurry. anything I can do about this?

    Ok, so is this a specific app, or all apps?

    If it is a specific app it may be due to the developer creating it for lower res phones, if its all apps then you have a defective phone.

    well I have tried paper toss, which is very very poor and solitaire which looks blurry as well, ill try some more now.

    I think you guys are getting your wires crossed. I bet the OP is talking about aps that use graphics (like some games). Most of these games were designed for lower resolutions so, when played on the Desire, have to fill more space so the image is essentially stretched. I wouldn't call the result blury, but it does look a little soft. However, as devs start making games for high resolutions, this will stop.

    Other apps that don't rely on graphics, or games that were designed with higher resolutions in mind will look fine.

    Just to add, games like Jewel look very sharp because they were obviously designed to take advantage of higher resolutions. Paper toss looks awful as the background graphic is only have the resolution of the screen and has been stretched. The Dev even says he needs to add high quality backgrounds for newer devices

    robot defense and pinball look blurry, raging thunder looks okay but not great. Labrinth lite is the only game so far with decent clear quality.

    zenonia looks awful
    i mean about 50% of the apps i have tried are def not wvga res.
    but my desire screen itself is beautiful :')

    I just got mine two days ago after using the Iphone 3gs and very disappointed with the blurry or low resolution apps. At first i thought i was loosing my eye sight but some apps are really good, while 70% of all the others are really bad. Vodafone Uk are sending me out a new one but I know it will have exactly the same problem.
    I have noticed that all jpg images are rendered very badly, even in the internet browser. Do i go with the iphone 4 or tolerate this serious problem??????
