are you sure that that ruu was successful? that is not an ruu that i would expect an s on to allow to flash, nor does your getvar all reflect that thats the software its on. first thing we should try is to flash the correct RUU:
Androidfiles RUU

if you are unable to get the .exe to successfully run and update, you can extract "rom.zip" in this manner:
the .exe utilities can be finicky,so if you have trouble getting it to run, you can extract "rom.zip" in the following manner:
-start the utility
-check the "i understand" box to move on to the next screen
-hide the utility temporarily out of site
-search your C drive for "rom.zip". you will find it in a temporary location(it will be in a different spot each time you run the utility)
-open the folder location, and transfer rom.zip to a safe location on your PC.
-unhide and cancel the utility, youre done with it.
-rom.zip can be renamed to PxxxIMG and flashed in hboot, from a FAT32 sd card

rom.zip can be renamed to PD98IMG and flashed in hboot mode from a FAT32 formatted sd card(sd format and proper name are very important)

let us know hoe it goes. :)

Aaaaaaah,i understand.

ok,well need to approach this a bit differently then.

since you have the htcdev compatible hboot, you will need to unlock it,install a recovery, and flash a zip file to lower your main version. we can then flash an older ruu. luckily you haev a CID thats easy to find RUUs for :)

-unlock bootloader, and install a recovery. basic directions are here:http://androidforums.com/desire-hd-...-how-unlock-install-recovery-root-htcdev.html
since your phone is not booting, you can just skip over the commands that start "adb xxxx" when you see adb reboot bootloader you will just need to put the phone into fastboot manually,by selecting fastboot from the hboot menu. when you see directions to reboot, just let the phone reboot as far as it will after a couple minutes, then pull the battery.

-download "set main version low" zip from this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23169557&postcount=4

-enter your recovery by chosing recovery from the fastboot menu. use the recovery menus to wipe cache and dalvik, and then flash the set main version low zip file.

-choose recovery option to reboot to bootloader

-check main version by entering

fastboot getvar mainver or fastboot getvar all

you should see the main version listed as 1.00.000.0

now you can flash any zip that you want to,that is for your CID. i would pick the one i linked above( Androidfiles RUU ) you can flash in hboot as a PD98IMG after extracting rom.zip as described above,or you can run the .exe with the phne in fastboot.

hopefully that will get you back to a working phone :)

just holler if you have questions :)

I run the .exe with the phne in fastboot.
if there is any other way to run please tell me but please in step by step as I am new don't know much about this android stuff thanks....

You're doing fine, anilnaqvi :).

Scotty's the Man around these parts, so you've got the attention of our best and brightest :).

Any screenshots or warnings or error messages you can provide will, I'm sure, help to figure-out exactly what's going on.

Best wishes!

the .exe files are notoriously finicky. the .exe may be doing checks the phone does not,so this is not out of the ordinary :)

try and flash it the other way:
-extract rom.zip
-rename rom.zip to "PD98IMG"
-place PD98IMG on root of FAT32(very important!) sd card
-boot to hboot,it should find, check, and update.

the directions to extract rom.zip:
the .exe utilities can be finicky,so if you have trouble getting it to run, you can extract "rom.zip" in the following manner:

Doh! *smacks forehead*

I forgot one important detail

Youll.need to relock the bootloader to run the ruu. Use the command:

Fastboot oem lock

Once you are relocked, hopefully it will flash.

Sorry bout that! A fair amount going on at the scotty85 household atm ;)

it says update successful check the details below but still stuck on htc logo any more suggestions....

You can try doing another factory reset, and flashing that same file again. Unfortunately,if those don't work, there's not much else to try. Successfully updating all partitions, yet not booting prolly indicates some sort of hardware issue :(

Just make sure you're giving the phone enuff time. Sometimes the first boot could take as long as 15-20 minutes.

Tried 3 times no luck....anyways thanks for the help....

sorry that hasnt worked, sounds like it may be some sort of hardware issue :(

you can install recovery and lower the main version, and try an older ruu,if you like. if you create a goldcard you can even try other carrier ruus. just be aware that its graspig at straws... if the newer ruu didnt work, prolly an older one will not either :(

definately try granites advice above.

if you are still not booting afterward, a couple of questions:

1)you are stable in the hboot screen(white, colored letters), correct?

2) are either of you experiencing 7 short vibrations when trying to boot?

the next step in attempting recovery would be to try and run an RUU to relfash factory software. since you are unrooted, and unmodified we will need to try and find a compatible ruu to run, since the phone will be doing several security checks.

if you can do the following, and post back the output,we can try and find the correct ruus for you to run.

Hey guys, I am totally new to all of this cell phone upgrade etc things. After I performed an update about a month back on my HTC desire HD it gets stuck on the boot screen ie. HTC logo.
I even tried few repair shops etc, people don't want to touch HTC as if it is something weird. Anyhow,
I tried fastboot devices and fastboot getvar all and here is the outcome

C:\mini-adb>fastboot getvar all

You could prolly get by with a gold card... But my personal recomendation would be s off and supercid. That way you will always be able to run ruus. :)
Please help me in finding stock rom for my htc desire hd with following info:
