Say I have a huge conversation with someone - is there a way to show only the last 10 messages in my SMS conversation without actually deleting the first 1000?

I find it slow to scroll to the bottom of a huge conversation to get to the latest one but I don't want to delete the old messages in case I need to read them through again.
