htc desire

    hello folks my htc desire keeps shutting down and not starting up , its on t mobile, starts up only with the pink ring thing and then goes no further any ideas ?

    Have you tried a battery pull?

    Yeah mate sometimes it comes up as far as the main screen then as soon as it does its going of again been at it for 6 hrs now heads ready too explode lol

    am wondering if its the on /off button are these known for these faults

    Not heard of that before, how long have you had the phone?
    Are you sure you got a full charge in the battery?

    phones about 6 months old , battery has charge yes or it says it does and when i plug it in it takes charge sometimes but not always.

    Also when it powers up sometimes it vibrates once sometimes 4 times i have no clue might just have too take it back to the shop

    Hi, I don't know the answer to your problem. But you may get better answers if you change the title of your thread to be a bit more specific. If you mention in the title that your phone keeps shutting down, maybe others who have had or are having the same problem may drop in to give you advice.

    Check & see if your battery & the contacts in the phone are connecting firmly, if the contacts are a bit sloppy that could also cause the problems you have described.
    Failing that then it looks like a trip to the shop

    try starting in safe mode, as the phone is attempting to restart press the menu button for say 10 seconds, hope this helps.

    As Anoniemouse says then, show it to the guy in the shop and get a replacement. Sounds like it has developed a fault.
