So let me tell you the story of FRANKENEVO

I'm an Android newbie. I work for Sprint tech support and bought my Evo on launch day. Shortly after, couldn't have been more than 2 weeks, tragedy fell upon my new found love Evo Longoria... She was brutally murdered on I-44. Fell off the back of the car. I thought for sure she was dead but in my quick and strenuous efforts to revive her she did, survive... I got the phone to work and popped a battery in and low and behold, IT WORKED! The shattered touch screen was fully responsive and all functions of the phone were working properly. I knew however that i would need a replacement because no one carries the replacement gorilla glass. Being the inquisitive person I am i decided to make the best of the situation and dissected the HTC EVO... Best part... she still worked after i put her back together... Here are the autopsy photos...

Sorry for your loss. I had a buddy accidentally back over an ipod, he heard the crunch, the whole thing was totaled, but it still played music.

Was it just the screen? How did the back part hold up?

Well thank you, I have my new one now and we're getting along just fine lol :) and yes the screen was completely shattered with only the digitizer holding it together. The phone never got ran over just fell off the car at 50 mph on the hwy, i was lucky to find it! I was unable to recover the back and battery but the the only damaged sustained was to the screen to my knowledge. Its a beautiful phone and I can't wait to really see what this thing is capable of!
