    Hi,

I am using the Villain rom 10.1.3 on my Hero and since i updated the rom my phone is getting very warm. The temp are reaching 40c (110f) and more.

    I am using kernel: 2.6.29-ninpo-nowhining-dirty-b7a296fa
I am not OC over 614 and also when i downgrade it to 518 the temp is still high.

Is there a way to install different kernel to this rom?
Is anyone else experience the same issue?

I don't think replacing kernel will solve the issue. Kernel is "just" a glue between hardware and the Android OS - its applications, services, etc. It is not creating any CPU load by itself. Try finding out if the CPU is being used extensively by some app. Application "Spare Parts", free on the Market, can help you with that.

Of course it is possible that you are running an out right buggy kernel, but chances of that are very low. Other VillainROM users would have noticed it by now.

Thank you very much for the good info.
I checked in Spare parts but didn't find anything wired :)
The android system is the main cause for CPU usage and wakeup.

I changed the ROM to Sense Hero R5 without OC and the temp is better but when i am in a long call it still getting warmer then i am used to (up to 40c)
