Does the 1300mah battery on the incredible concern anyone else? Most reviews have pointed it out to be one of the incredibles few flaws; noting that it gets even less time than the nexus one!

I had the droid for quite some time, and found the battery to be fair - and it seems like the incredible is far worse!

For those of you who have the phone: What has been your experience with the battery life? Can anyone ease my concerns? Thanks!:D

I'd wait for the manufacturer to put out a new battery or wait for some testing to be done so you don't get taken to the cleaners.

Not really, I was going to get a second battery anyways to swap out when needed.

Why would anyone be concerned?? All the reviews so far say the battery life is average. Yes, average. Its not like its going to have abysmal battery life like the Eris.

Looks like OP is very new to smartphones.

I bought the seidio 1750mAh battery for my eris and I am wondering if it will fit the Incredible? Both are HTC devices and come with the 1300mAh battery standard. Any thoughts? Seems like there is a decent chance it will work.

I couldn't even get through half a day with the droid with very light use and wifi/gps/brightness all off/down. If the Incredible is worse it will be a no go.

Well i've heard it won't work on the incredible i have a couple also. Also i've found a site that tests the batteries and the batteries by seidio do not fare very well. In fact the stock batteries many times had more juice than the higher rated seidio batteries. So i won't be buying any more seidio batteries, expecially at the price they charge.

I have had an Incredible since the 28th. I too was having problems with battery life and getting only about 16 hours. I took two steps. First I ran it down to 5% and then recharged it about 2 hours with the 110v wall charger. Second I turned off all the Auto type features including auto brightness and location services and push. I last charged it Saturday AM and now its Monday AM and the battery is still at 40% so thats at least 48 hours. I dont make a lot of calls but read email and get on the net several time a day. I am not sure, but I think the auto screen brightness is the battery burner. Down to about 20% brightness is more than adequate. At this point I am very satisfied with battery life.

I haven't had any issues with mine. This is a subjective question which depends on your usage. I used Google Talk all day, checked and sent email, browsed the web a little and still had enough battery. I have auto everything on and my battery makes it through the day, which is all I'm looking for. I plug mine in every night.

Yes, it fits perfectly and the back cover snaps on without issue. You will see many threads about it in this forum.

I was wondering this also... All of the 'higher end" HTC phones come with 1400 mah or higher. I also read that the stock 1500 mah touch pro 2 battery will fit perfectly. Just waiting for someone to try it to make sure it doesnt blow up the phone! lol.

After my 3rd charge, battery life is good. Ended with 40% yesterday after web browsing, downloading some apps, checking E-mail, and reading an e-book (for about 1.5hrs). I didn't talk on it yesterday. First two charges were pretty poor, but it just seems to be getting better.

I have had the phone since the day it came available. First few days my battery sucked but I was running live wallpaper. Today I decided to see if it will last significantly longer with a static wallpaper. So far so good. I went from 100%-89% in 10 minutes with live and from 89%-82% in 20 minutes with static.

If you turn off Push, what do you lose functionality-wise? I have been using HTC Mail for email and don't really use Facebook. Will anything be lost by turning it off?

I've had it since day 1. After about the 3rd charge it was pretty good. I also took the clock and weather widget off and put them back on. When you put it back on set the clock to only update when you unlock the phone and the weather to only update every three hours and also not use the live animation on the front home screen. This saved significant battery life for me.

inTECHrity, I had the Eris before and I truly think battery time is similar. With moderate use (with 3G always on) I got over 32 hours on 2 different charges (down to 10%). If I was not using as much I know I could extend it. I was probably getting 3 - 4 more hours with similar use on my Eris. With the Incredible even with very heavy use I have made it through the whole day. I'm using the Seidio 1750 battery.

I really believe that the people that are having issues with battery time on Incredible are having issues with specific apps.

I have had 3 charges so far.. All recharging at 14% - 22 hours, 24 hours, and 26 hours.. Medium Use. (Not pulling and pushing 15 programs/widgets while playing video games + live wall paper and gps - but I do push gmail, use internet, calling, texting, maybe a game or two of chess or solitaire a day. no airplane mode, switch between 3g and wifi, use several widgets, market place browsing and downloading..) just the standard 25 year old male medium usage.

I am usually in a bad coverage location which eats battery. My cell standby is like 50%.

I, personally, am BLOWN away by how great my battery is. I was expecting to have to charge twice a day and still struggle--I can go almost a whole day and have no problems. I live a life with no fear :)

Yeah battery life definately improves over the first 5-6 days of use. Its funny that the bad battery threads have died down now that people are finally starting to get to the batteries full potential. It was annoying to see threads about it every couple minutes. My guess is within a week we won't see a single post about it anymore.

    big +1

because when we get a new phone, of course we are all messing with the features almost non-stop for hours. can't expect the battery to last for 3 days like it...so many unrealistic expectations.

You must be running one or more apps that are draining your battery unnecessarily. Remove any task killers and battery widgets. Check how often you are syncing mail, facebook, etc.

I'm easily getting two days with moderate use.

I thought task killers were supposed to help with battery life? And I can't imagine that a battery widget is sucking all that much juice. Please correct me if I'm wrong
