That looks more like he has a cheap cable...known issue with cheap cables. ( Notice he had it on a box up higher and it seemed to work fine. )

Couldn't this be a cable shielding issue?

I don't know why the phone is freaking out, but I place mine on metal surfaces and it works fine playing music, just tested it.

Also, that table has a reflective paint/coating on it which I doubt is conductive anyway.

That's just what the cable issue does.

Welcome to the world of a capacitive screen mass produced with grounding dependent upon your hand(or giant metal sign)... The sign is probably being held up by wood to... Call me crazy but I dont consider this a design flaw!

If other phones don't have this issue, I think this would be considered a design flaw.

Toward the end of the video, it was working fine on the metal until he jacked with the cable.

My phone is sometimes acting like its receiving random touches.

Anyone else experiencing this or is something going wrong with my phone?
