Help HTC Incredible-sd transfer from lg

wife and I just got our incredibles....we added our sd card from the lg chocolate touch and somethings work, some don't like ringtones...can we move everthing off, format in the htc and move back or is it the extensions causing us problems? Help please...

Well you can certainly move your files/folders off the card and reformat although I'm not sure that's the root cause here. I use FAT32 formatting via the PC personally. Assuming your ringtones are MP3? If so, make sure they are in a folder called Ringtones. If they aren't make said folder and put them in there. Android looks to known folder names for specific items such as Ringtones, Notifications, etc. There's a thread somewhere, guessing the FAQ forum that should spell out how to set up a folder directory and where to place various filetypes so they will be recognized as available options when you are in a menu asking you for a ringtone selection for example.
