I was in the middle of updating a couple of my downloaded apps and i looked away and the phne screen was black. I hit the power button to see how the download was going and the phone did not do anything. I held the power button to see if anything would happen, nothing. I plugged it into charge but nothing happened either. Can anyone help?

Pull the battery and wait about 30 seconds. Replace the battery and power on.

Similar thing happened to me this morning. Last night I flashed a ROM. Woke up this morning and the phone was off and wouldn't turn back on without a battery pull. Not sure why it happened. Hoping it's not an issue with the ROM otherwise I'll be moving on to something else.

It means your phone just froze.

Usually what I do when that happens:

    1. Press the power button to lock then phone. Press again. If the buttons light up but not the screen, you need to pull the battery.

    2. After pulling the battery, I turn it back on and give it a minute.

Htc Inspire, boot looping HBOOT is working but no clockworkmod. stuck @ black screen after white htc logo fades.
also HBOOT says either "device offline" or "device not connected"
all adb drivers are working, or wouldn't be able to reach "HBOOT".
any help would be greatly apreciated.
    THANKS,
    ABIOTIX

Hold down the power and VOLUME UP button to enter recovery mode.
