HTC Peep 4x4 widget text entry issue

I love Peep's 4x4 widget with text entry - I don't have to launch an app to tweet or check tweets, mentions, etc. However, upon updating to 2.1 I am unable to edit text I've typed into the text entry field. That is, I can not go back to fix typos, change words, etc. I have to delete all the way back to what I want to change and then re-type everything following it - VERY annoying.

Anyone else experience this /know a fix? Is there any other twitter app with a 4x4 widget?
