I saw the HTC sense music player that's on the phones by default and wanted to try it on my nexus one. Is there any download for the apk file or a way to get it on the nexus one? Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

You can't. The HTC music app depends on the Sense framework and won't work on any non-Sense phones.

Can flash a Desire ROM and try it out, though.

That's depressing. Trying to find a better music app than the default one, that's also free. Sad that google is lacking in a few areas for android.

As far as free music apps, I liked the '3' (cubed) app. bTunes has grown on me by leaps and bounds though.

I've tried them both, but they're just not quite there yet i guess. I'm used to the Cowon D2 music player. It's a great little device that had a really natural navigation along with great settings like to speed up the play back speed and such.
