HTC Sync will sync my calendar and contacts from my PC (Outlook 2007) to the EVO 4G. But it won't sync calendar and contact events from the EVO 4G back to the PC. I'm using Windows 7. What is wrong? I've turned off my virus and firewall software to try and fix the issue but it still won't sync both ways.

Check your conflict resolution settings on the desktop end...odds are it's set to use the desktop version if the two are different. You want it to use the most recent version.

I fixed the problem. I am now able to have HTC Sync sync both ways between the EVO 4G and Outlook 2007. I am using 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium.

When adding new events/contacts on your phone you have to choose "PC Sync" in one of the drop down menus. The default is your Google account. Switch it to PC sync and enjoy two way syncing with no cloud!

Is there a way to make this the default?

Thanks htcsync - solved my problem (using Outlook 2013 and an HTC One). Now I've changed to PC Sync instead of Google, it stays that way for new calendar entries.
