This is slick.
Sitting pretty at Qualcomm
Expansys are already putting this out for preorder:
Huawei S7 Android Tablet PC Support Forum - eXpansys UK
They've got it at 299GBP which seems quite cheap. Do you think this is an inferior model?
Nice find! That is a really good price - considering you get 1ghz and 3G, and they've got support for Android 2.1 ... Pre-ordered! Thanks! I posted the link on my site too, much appreciated.
Thats an amazing price.
If Google don't bring out a tablet soon then I might buy one
Does anyone know if it will have a capacitive screen? I really want an Android tablet, but I do not want to go back to a resistive screen.
Yes, it is capacitive - Computex 2010: Android tablet Huawei Smakit S7 with voice communication
Will the S7 have access to Android Market? Or will it be limited to just aftermarket apps?
I found this on liliputing:
Huawei S7 Android tablet with voice capabilities
Prices have dropped, just fyi.
Canada – $379.99
USA – $354.99
That's pretty nice looking. I like the price as well, a lot cheaper then an iPad.
OK., I just read on engadget the shipping product is a 768 mhz.
THEY GIMPED IT
I hate it when manufactures pull this crap.
Expansys becomes exclusive retailer for Huawei S7 Android tablet -- Engadget
Huawei S7 Video Review Android Tablets
but look at how smooth it is, regardless...
Again the video review says 1Ghz snap dragon, but Expansys who are the exclusive supplier say it's got a 768Mhz processor.
Clove.co.uk also says its a 768Mhz processor as well.
Probably underclocked for battery saving goodness. Unfortunately it's also 900mhz 3G - so it's not compatible with Telus or Rogers up here
Does that mean there may be a chance it can be overclocked at some point? What speed is the Arm A8 capable of reaching safely?
Reviews coming in say battery life is bad. 100 minutes.
Huawei S7 tablet previewed, shipping date delayed
Yeah, just posted about it - 1.5 hours is pretty pathetic.
I'm lucky, a mod on another forum posed the question about 3G network frequency, and I checked before I confirmed my order - it isn't compatible with Canadian cellphone networks
Huawei S7 Android Tablet Gets Reviewed Android Tablets
So you have to use a stylus for the touch screen? No thanks.
Doesn't look like they're using a stylus in those videos
Yeah when I first watched the video I remember them using their fingers, but I'm pretty sure one of those last links said you had to use a stylus.
"It’s also worth noting that at launch this tablet will only be available with a resistive touchscreen and stylus. But SlashGear reports that a model with a capacitive, finger-friendly touchscreen could be available later." - Huawei S7 tablet previewed, shipping date delayed
