    I'm the longcat from Amazon.

Let me give you all a little background... The first extended battery for my S3 that I bought is the QCell one. Someone said something bad about QCell when I said I got it, so I decided to buy two other brands available... Onite and Hyperion. Then I did the runtime tests, and I saw that the QCell battery didn't run as long, so I was curious and peeled back the battery cover. I saw that the cells were undersized and the space was filled in with shims.

That's when I decided I would buy all the batteries I could, and test them out scientifically so nobody else would have to get ripped off. I bought a CBA-III and I recently made a website where I have all my reviews. As of now, I think I have bought and reviewed every battery for the S3 on amazon... except one that's still on a ship or carrier pidgin from Hong Kong. I also have one on the way from Gorilla Gadgets.

If you want to see all of my reviews, the site's agallonofmilk and you know what to put before and after. I also found a fascinating characteristic of one of the standard batteries I reviewed. At 250mA load, the battery lasted as long as stock at about 2100mAh capacity, but at 500mA it only could deliver 750mAh or so. I did a second test to make sure I didn't mess anything up, and to my surprise, the battery tested at 1400mAh. I was still curious so I tested it yet again, and it tested at about 1850mAh. So, contrary to what many people say, lithium ion batteries won't be at their best right out of the box.

Anyways, I'm glad you guys and girls found my review useful.

Is that one Qcell you looked at or many? All I know is my Qcell has been flawless "right out of the box". It appears the one I bought has 4.3 out of 5 stars (56 reviews). Under Product Description it says -

"NOTE: Only QCell is the authorized reseller for all QCell products. Please do not purchase counterfeit products from unauthorized resellers and report any unauthorized resellers to Amazon. All QCell Products comes with QCell logo and packaging."

I do not think I will be needing your reviews.

I am using the Hyperion 4200 extended battery. It seemed to have better reviews than qcell battery.

I'm the same longcat that wrote the amazon verified purchase "Skip this battery..." review for that exact battery you're talking about.

The capacity gain I saw only showed itself when the standard battery was discharged with a 500mA load - at 250mA load it looked like a broken-in battery. An extended battery is two standard cells connected in parallel - so a 500mA load would be 250mA to each of the cells. I'd expect how much breaking in is necessary depends on the storage conditions and age of the battery itself.

I don't want to make anyone unhappy because of what battery they purchased, but I do want to test the batteries out there and do in an objective manner and then make it available for anyone who wants to know the results.

Is there something wrong with you or your computer cause this is exactly the same you posted already.

You don't need to believe this info
, but I pealed back my qcell label (When I had one) and found the same and you would also if you did.

But by all means qcell is better than stock.

If it is working for you and many great! But he is just stating that you are not getting it's advertised label specs, that is all.

Exact same questions because none were answered.

Examination and use show I got exactly advertised label specs, that is all.

I wasn't going to unless asked about it, but I've been asked, so I'll see what Mugen thinks is worth $88.

What size is the mugen for $88?

They claim 4600mAh capacity. Not sure if I can post links yet, but if you google mugen 4600, the first link should be it.

I do have the Hyperion and QCell cases, and my reviews of them are on amazon. However, I think the Hyperion case is terrible. It's just too small so it's too tight, but not in the right places. (The back is really taut but the sides aren't, so it doesn't hug the power and volume buttons). That makes the buttons difficult to push, and there's not much feedback that you've actually pressed a button, and it just feels shoddy.

The QCell one isn't perfect, but it's the best one out there for an extended battery. The QCell case I got was slightly longer on one side than the other, so a sliver of the metal appeared in one of the corners... and what has plagued every single white colored case I've gotten: it gets yellow after extended contact.

For better or worse, the QCell and the Hyperion back covers are identical, so what works for one will work for the other. I'll get the Mugen and see how it works with the QCell and Hyperion cases.

Although the Hyperion and QCell batteries use the same back plate, the Onite and Anker batteries each have their own unique back plate and neither of them work with the QCell cover. I can't remember if I've used the Hyperion cover with either of the Onite or Anker back plates, and my Hyperion case is at work.

We will see for how long with so many unanswered questions when you spread this stuff all over the intenet. Was there any testing by independent labs? It appears the company's attorneys have have added the language above to the Product Description. We will see what happens if the assertions continue.

What are you trying to say here?
I could take this either way, I need clarifying on what you mean?

I have the qcell amid Hyperion 4200 batteries. The qcell only charges to 75 percent the Hyperion charges to 100.
Qcell lasts about 1.5 times oem 2100. Hyperion close to 2x as long. This is g general use for a coupler weeks switching batteries. I concluded qcell not worth the hump. Hyperion worth carrying with hump.

What are you trying to get at? I am confused.

I think he is saying that attorneys for qcell will try to stop him from reviewing their batteries and to pull his opinions.

They would then need to basically contact amazon and deal with their review submission policies. Last I looked there are hundreds of negative reviews on hundreds of products. This is what makes reviews work. People post what does not work. It helps consumers. Why anyone would come on here and post random things against the buyer posted reviews is beyond me. No need for independent labs.

I bought a qcell and it sucked. That's my lab results. Lol.
