I can't Move Certain Icons around on my Home Screen

Im new here and this place rocks! Im learning alot!
My question is.. On my home screen, my three main Apps ( contacts, apps and phone) moved to the right of my screen ( running up and down).. I cant drag them back down, it wont let me. How do i move them back to the bottom ( running across) like I had it?
Id appreciate any help!

A little more info is helpful. Some phones have a manufacturer-specific "skin" that would have those icons and may have a setting to change the location. Without make/model information trying to help is like throwing darts with your eyes closed.

i will take a stab at this...
i am assuming you have an android phone!!!!

what you are using is a widget not an icon... since its interactive.

widgets come designed in particular shapes by the developer. they are not dynamic in sized/shape based on your placement on the homescreen.

solution:
1. delete the current widget...
2. long press an empty spot on the homescreen, then select "widget"
3. go find the widget size and shape of the app that meets your needs.
