OK I AM JUST ABOUT DONE WITH MY PHONE!!! NO MATTER WHAT I DO I CANT USE THE SPRINT UPDATER TO DO ANYTHING WITH MY PHONE:mad:...
ive installed everything.. ive tried using all the usb ports.. ive uninstalled reinstalled uninstalled so many times i could do it with my eyes closed!!!
my screen stays stuck at [run] debug all the time...
I already have the official DE03 from the sprint store cause i couldnt do it at home because of this very issue!
All i want to do is flash DE03 with joey's recovery and zip calkulin's 2.1 ROM to my phone.. Thats it..
is there any way i could get joey's recovery onto my moment without using sprint's updater cause im at the point were im just about ready to apply a grinder to my phone's ugly silver face!

Have you tried reflashing straight to stock with a fresh download of the sprint updater?

Have you tried taking the USB drivers and putting them in the drivers directory of SWUpgrade? I did that when my phone wouldn't connect.

(C:/ Program Files > Samsung Electronics > SWUpgrade > Driver) is the default.

Do this, but make sure the phone is not connected when isntalling the drivers. Once the drivers are installed, follow the on screen prompts on the SWUpdater and when you plug the phone in for the first time windows should find the drivers installed and it should work.

Was having the same problem but make sure you are removing the battery twice and not just unplugging and plugging back in

Out of curiosity what OS are u running?, XP SP3 explicitly has issues with the updater.

Also what version of the updater is it, the newer version has a .dll in the Models folder than wont allow custom files to be flashed, click here if this is the case for the old .dll Samsung Updater Patch: Revert to the old one

OK. I know this is probably not going to be helpful. But it is what I had to do to correct this issue on my computer. Somehow one of the COM .dll was not being recognized even after uninstalling everything and reinstalling everything correctly. Something in my reg was messed up and I couldn't get it corrected. Since I keep everything on an external drive and just have the OS on the internal drive, I reinstalled WIN7 and I was able to once again use the updater. It took about 45min to reinstall win7 for me.

PS: Symptom was the same. My computer saw the phone but would hang after hitting start download. This happened after having the new updater installed and then being removed to use the old updater for flashing a custom rom file.
