There has been no damages that i could imagine. Unless phandroid was selling a modified linux based os cell phones and the level of confusion has caused loss of income. Even if that was the case picture what android would have become with out the strong knowledge behind this website that has provided .

Most of these flavours of Android, they don't call them "Android" or use any Android branding, no cute green robots. They all have their own names and branding. And the wording is sometimes "Based on Android".

Google can require "based on" or "powered by" on all Android devices. Just use the little Android Logo. Windows had something about all software being based on or powered by Windows NT.

Same with all the distros of Linux. You have to sell the basic idea and get the public used to it. There are differences of opinion, but most stick together in defining and defending Linux as a whole.

Otherwise - Samsung will become synonymous with Android, and not Google. Samsung is the only Android device bashing Apple. I finally saw an ad for an HTC, but it ran Windows.

New Rules here it's only fair as for Google is a very Respectful Company.
For every bad thing we mention about them let's be kind and Say What we like about them in return.

Now that I have gotten my point across about Google's down falls In order to be professional I do have to hand these hard working individuals some high guards of respect.
They have came along way since the mid 90's back when yahoo and aol was the hottest thing on the market.
I'am very impressed of all of the app's that was created by Google.com
Especially the Google Voice app totally awesome including all of the things that you can do
from within your emails. Google map's very sweet when used on the GSM network I have never seen anything come even close to how accurate it was so amazing it tells you per mile and speed your going and when to decrease speed rite at the moment you just hit a speed sign.

Oh and I can never forget how they took the major thorn out of my side when backing up contacts list my god so much easier can you imagine how I felt when having over 3,000 contacts in my phone trying to put all of those #'s back into my phone. I'am sure there is tons more I just can't think of them now..But Thank you Google for all of the great things you do. But let's merge great opportunities together rather then pushing them away..Is how I feel.
