They need to go back into Beta for 6 more months. All the duplicate files, empty folders, and the ability not to realize I've played a podCast is enough for me.

I'm going with MediaGo (DeskTop app) for all my media enjoyment. The SenseMe thing is cool for creating dynamic playList. I'll be using Meridan on the EVO to play my media.

Now that I've downloaded Tunebite, I can even rip my Zune/iTunes DRM stuff to play on my EVO.

    I just had to share/vent.

I'm almost done with it too! All I want to be able to do is put my playlists on my EVO. I don't need ALL of my music, just a few specific playlists. DoubleTwist does this, but the sync takes forever and is glitchy at best. I've tried media monkey and even went back to winamp. Both of those just put the music on my EVO and did not organize it in the playlists that I wanted.

Any suggestions? From what I have found on the forums, I'm stuck with doubletwist.

Agreed. I dumped DoubleTwist after it "synced" my Evo with all the music folders, but no music.

I use Isyncr, does a good job of syncing my Itunes playlists, but you have to pay. I also payed for the widget which allows me to rate songs but it is a little buggy.

Is MediaGo that Sony app? I thought that it was specifically for Sony devices. Does it really work for the Evo as well?

i use banshee on linux to sync music. perfect, fast , and includes playlists (recently added, most played, etc)

i like lithium music player on the phone, its different. and it crossfades tracks, which is the main reason i use it

Yes it is and MediaGo works with just about anything you throw at it.
You can create dynamic playlist "it's so cool". You pick a song and tell it how long (minutes/hours) you want the play list to be and it will find song like your seed song.

    So cool.

I didn't spend a whole lot of time looking it over, but does Double Twist offer a way to play all of your music files in a random or shuffled order? I didn't immediately find one and that quickly made up my mind to delete it.

The only thing doubleTwist has going for it is it's iTunes like. That's it, it really is a crap app ATM. They need more development time and I'd venture that the majority of Android users are not former iTues users "me being one of them", so we're not married to trying different thing.

That's why I think MediaGo is great, it's free and works with just about everything.

Do any of the above-mentioned software feature sync-able star ratings? I find this as a necessary feature as it is the only way I can mark a song for deletion from both my pc and my phone.

    Get a PC.

Just kidding. (But you should!) I've heard good things about isyncr and missing sync, both in market I believe.

Just tried isyncr but I found that Salling Media Sync Salling Software - Salling Media Sync for Mac works best (at least for me). Synced my iTunes and iPhoto! Works really good and if you get a codec error for any videos in iPhoto just copy and paste them to your SD card. After getting the error for MPEG-4 for my videos I copy and pasted and they work perfectly :)
