Help I have a really bad feeling i bricked my samsung captivate when they said it was highly unbrickable

So, I was attempting to do a odin fix and well for some reason automatic updates decides to shut down my computer. Now if i plug in my phone, or power it on it shows me a phone ..... (caution sign).....Computer. I cant do anything is there a fix. I've been trying to access download mode, or recovery, but neither are working.

did you power on while holding down the volume buttons, it should still go to recovery mode. i know people say once you see the things you see you have to flash odin, ive never done it or i would try and be more of a help

well normally you know when you plug it in you will see a battery there is no battery. Some people will get stuck at the att logo, but nop not me it just goes straight to the cell phone pic caution sign and computer.

try this. i nearly bricked mine once, well i kinda did as it wouldnt get past the galaxy s screen but i had a nandroid backup
