Since the update, I'm getting blue, green and purple notification lights? Do I know what they mean? No. Can I find them in the manual? No. Am I frustrated? Yes.

    Thank you. Carry on.

I get a purple notification light for Yahoo mail (via the Yahoo mail app)...but I had that before the update. I usually get green for calendar notifications or other email notifications. Not sure about blue...that's usually bluetooth in my experience.

Same rant I've made here and elsewhere. That said I don't think the LEDs have changed at all since the update.

I'm confused too. K9 gives me white, google voice-blue, touchdown appointment notifications-red and maybe 1 or 2 others I've seen.

Is this something I can set in the system or for each application or how is it deciding what color to use for what application?

I think K9 has a setting for notification color, but that's not what color is showing up.

There are two apps I've found, I am using Missed Call successfully (so far all LED functions work) and one called Blink, which I was going to try as well. A bit annoying there's no documentation for this!

As far as I know neither will let you customize the LED for Gmail though, but basically everything else your phone can provide a notification for you can customize the LED color and flash interval and sound. Even stuff like Bluetooth connecting and so on...

I believe for me Blue is usually related to Google Voice/texts,

a charging indication LED would be nice. As well as a way to customize LED colors for different alerts.
