Looks pretty freakin sweet, and it says that demo is running on a Hero, so looks like it should run well on an Eris as well!

It does look nice (doubt if I'll replace Sense, personally though).

I'm wondering, for those who do want to replace Sense, if Sense can be thoroughly removed just to save the space and resources.

Once the Eris is rooted you'll be able to completely remove it. Until then you can just disable it.

Yeah it's a bummer you cant just turn it off, even when you disable Sense it still turns it self on in the background so it's always taking up memory

I noticed that while experimenting with Home (and I do admit I was attracted to the idea of Home using less resources, but the difference did not seem dramatic enough to push out Sense as my default.. am willing to consider others as they come along, though).

[EDIT] Something just occurred to me; the difference between Home and Sense not being much, in resource use, would be for the reason that Sense remains in memory even with Home selected as the default.. holey moley..

I just watched the video and.... WOW!!!!
I'm seriously impressed, that looks fantastic.. Talk about a wow factor , I really like how the music player fans out yet you don't have to take up the whole screen to put it there it overlaps the other widget
I think I will definetly be giving this a try when available

I used hoem for a week , and had no problem with it .. Infact I actually liked it but it only seemed faster while Sense wasn't running as soon as it was back up it slowed it down. I'm definetly open to give this TATHome a try against Sense once it's rooted, as I definetly would not want to run two overlaying homes at the same time lol

Why do these other devices keep getting things the Eris is left out of?

That home screen was just unveiled at MWC earlier today. It's not available yet.

and when it becomes available it more than likely will be to carrier and Manuf!
then on top of that, its said they will pick different aspect of this video....so not everything!!
    kind of frustating.
that TAT group needs to make an app for this!!

Wow, this UI looks amazing. My favorite parts are the ease in moving widgets and apps between screens. That alarm clock looks bad ass too.

Visually I like the music and text widgets but to be honest it's much easier just looking at a list of contacts or artists than scrolling through fancy panes.

You cant kill sense without root cause sense is a lot more then just a pretty homescreen. Almost every aspect of the native apps have sense built in.

Sounds a little like Internet Explorer and Windows in the old days.

From what I read about this new sense ui, these guys made the OG android layout. So I would think that newer updates (2.X, 3.X, etc) would have this intergrated into it possibly. Or HTC or another company buys the rights and uses it as their new sense ui.

    Don't ask, can't tell
Between my ring and middle finger tips.
That is seriously heavy. I would for sure give this a try. I tried home for a bit, but went right back to Sense. I mean, why turn from the #2 reason I didn't want the boxy monstrosity (#1 reason) that is MotoDroid? htc just does UI right. I hope droidkevlar's assumption is spot on, because I would love to see this on my next htc android phone.

Awesome ... I LOVE the widgets that can overlap widgets when expanded and being used, but collapse back to take up less space! I've often wished for that. For instance, why should gmail take up a whole screen when I'm not reading the emails? A small icon that could flip open and shut would be much more useful.

This should get HTC on their toes to make Sense 2.1 sexier.

We aren't gonna get an update until October anyway. I'm banking on the dev's getting root first. Then who gives a damn about an update. Dev's rule.
