I got my phone on release day after waiting in line for 3 hours (even though the line did not get there till 30 minutes before the store opened). One of the guys came out and said, i have some bad news. I was like..oh hell no. "I only have two evos in stock, and i dont know when you will be getting one. so the first two people will get one, and thats it" Oh hell yes.

I paid 200 for it, i bought my moment back in december for 100 (was only a month out then), sold it to my brother for 200 so i paid nothing for the evo. Good deal? I think so. The phone has had no problems with it. I usually work for part of the day, and the other part im chilling at home. The battery lasts 24 hours (at least) for how much i use it for (mainly just texting, facebook while im out, the occasional youtube). The camera takes better pictures than my mothers camera (8mp). Overall, this is the best thing i have invested in. I have had no problems with it. The only thing that i can tell is wrong with it is that there is 'some' light leakage under the home and search buttons, but you only see it if i point it out.

I bought a carbon fiber vinyl for the back of it, not for protection, but for feel. The grip on it is amazing, and i just love the texture of it while im texting. The phone just feels right in my hands now, and if i use any other phone, i freak out.

I must of got the good batch ;)

That's pretty messed up there, charging an extra $100 off of your own brother...

Just glad it wasn't me ;)

I think I did too..from launch day (1st in line, actually only person in line) I've had no trace of this now famous light leakage problem...only issue I have is the power button is a bit recessed but not completely...I have No Lock installed and use the volume rocker now to wake it up....other than that...no problems.

I can understand the rage out there with bad units after so much waiting for this phone...Ive been in the same position buying other things.

Oh god, coming from the Moment i know about problems. I had to hack the phone in order to not have batter problems, even then if the phone sat idle the battery only lasted 5 hours max.

How sad, forcing your brother to pay you $100 more than what you got it for. YOU ARE the seller, you could've sold it to him for $100 but you took his money anyway.

Reminds me of a friend I don't talk to anymore. I offered him $50 for an old BB he wasn't using anymore. He knew he could get $100-150 for it on eBay/craigslist but he wouldn't sell it to me for $50. He could've had money in his pocket and hooked up a friend but he chose greed instead.

    Family/Friendship > Money/Greed

Its not greed when you spent 100$ on accessories for it, 20 days prior to it. If you are going to bash my prices that were paid and he didn't try to talk me down on (because he knew what i spent on it), then leave you swine. Also, i didn't force him to do anything. He chose to purchase the phone for the price i listed it on, so that makes me the bad person here?

How about looking at it in reverse? Don't you think that by chance you are the greedy one? I mean think about it. You expect someone to loose money for you because he is your friend? It is the same thing imo, just reversed.

If a friend treated me the same way as a stranger on Craigslist I wouldn't think of him as a friend anymore ;)

So what happens when your best friend or brother needs a kidney transplant? You'd probably tell him "well... I just don't know buddy. I could potentially sell my kidney on the black market for $20,000 so I expect the same amount from you as well"

Damn, that was going to be my next point. So i'll go ahead and do it. You are the greedy one because you offered below the price of a product, when you knew what its price was. You are also greedy because you figured just because he is your friend, that he would be willing to let go of the phone and lose his profit.

At least it was entertaining :)

Huge huge difference in something that you need, and something that you don't need. You don't need a cell phone in order to live. Its not like i broke the phone, sold it to him for 200$ and then never talked to him again. The phone works perfectly and has two spare batteries (oem samsung ones, 40 a pop along with a battery cradle charger at 20 a pop, and them being less than 20 days old when i sold him the phone.)

I am glad they were less than 20 years old, those 21 year old batteries have been known to have issues.
