1-14-11 **EDIT** If your wanting to go back stock this is among the easiest ways. It has been Tested with great success With many users. There was skeptacism at first but if you read through this thread you will see all of the successes. I look forward to it helping you too.**

Ok Jrock, Auad,Dautley & I made a Nandroid of our phones as it was before we ever turned them on when Verizon handed them to us.
All you have to do is Download one of these files.
    Stock Nandroid.zip
**Stock V6.zip** New and improved!! :D
This Stock V6 file was Graciously created for us by JRock.
Everyone go give him a big thanks.

Ok if the above files give you this (run 'nandroid- mobile.sh restore' via adb) when you try to load the Nandroids, try and use the clockwork section at the bottom.

**Edit** 2/14/11 STOCK FROYO (PLEASE READ EVERYTHING 1ST) Ok for those Who would like to go back to a Stock Froyo Here it is.
This is Stock Froyo and Stock Froyo Rooted. These will help those that want to go back to a stock froyo setting. These will also help in updating your phone to any new updates in the future if used in tandom with the rest of this post. The rooted version was done using Tridents method.
WARNING THE FROYO NANDROIDS WILL ONLY WORK IF YOU ALREADY HAVE ZVD AKA 2.2.1 ON YOUR PHONE. IF YOU HAVE ZVC OR BELOW AKA ANY VERSION OF 2.1 AND YOU TRY THESE FROYO NANDROIDS.... YOU WILL HAVE AN INSTANT BOOT LOOP. ALSO IF YOU USE ANY OF THE ORIGINAL STOCK NANDROIDS FROM ABOVE ON A PHONE THAT HAS 2.2.1 YOU WILL INSTANT BOOT LOOP. I NOR JROCK WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT GOES WRONG IF YOU CHOOSE TO USE THESE. TO FIND OUT WHAT YOU ARE ON GO TO MENU THEN SETTINGS CLICK ON ABOUT PHONE AND SCROLL ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM. THIS IS WHERE YOU WILL SEE WHAT OS YOUR USING AND WHAT UPDATE YOU ARE CURRENTLY RUNNING.

    Stock-Froyo.zip
    Stock-Froyo-Rooted.zip

    7-11-11 http://www.mediafire.com/?fbla7et7p4uieyy
7-5-11 **EDIT** The latest and Greatest Nandroid for version 2.2.2 http://www.mediafire.com/file/xomgngsa6u2trr1/Stock-222-rooted.zip

This was graciously created and provided by our very own Dautley.
Thank you Dautley!!! If you get a chance go and Thank that Man.

Unzip any of these files and after it is unzipped put it on your Sd card Where your Nandroids are Located. Should be under Nandroid/Mem=223/ on your Sd card
Now once done Go to settings then Privacy and then do a Data factory reset. This should boot you into recovery and make the Phone do a Data factory reset. Now Go ahead and for grins and giggles Do another Data Factory reset from the AmonRa recovery. Wipe Cache, Wipe,Dalvik, and if you have a Ext partition wipe that too.

Now Once all of this is done Go to restore back up and Restore the Nandroid that You downloaded from Media Fire.

After the Nandroid is Loaded Reboot the phone.

Since you did a Data Factory Reset From The Privacy Settings It will take a while on the 1st Boot. It will also set up your phone as if it was the very first time you turned it on out of the box It will set it up with VERIZON and you will have to enter your Gmail info and all of that poo.

We just see this a possible easiest way to go back Stock.

Also for those who want to get OTA and you want to get rid of your Recovery Here it is
signed_clockwork_to_Stock_Recovery.zip Simply flash this zip using ClockWork. You can also use this with Amon-Ra IF you turn verification OFF.**

1-31-11 **EDIT** Added new Stock Nandroid. This one is V6 based.

**Update** 2-1-11 ROOTY TOOTY FRESH & FRUITY for Froyo. Heres the XDA link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=803682

Heres a Very good Video Tutorial of this Method by THEUNLOCKR.COM
    http://theunlockr.com/2010/10/11/how-to-root-your-android-phone-superoneclick-method/
If you get stuck it can help you through it.

Thank you SHORT FUSE!!! Without you it wouldnt be possible. Everyone Go to the XDA Forum And Donate to him!!!
    Heres Ver. 1.6.3: SuperOneClickv1.6.3-ShortFuse.zip

    **EDIT** 3/15/11
Clockwork Section: Released1st Download this file: Stock-Rooted ZVC ClockWork.zip
This file was graciously created for us by Auad.
Everyone Give Auad a big thanks.

Warning Auad Nor myself will be held liable for any Damages to your phone that May occur.
Now unzip the file and put the whole folder on your SD card under Clockwork\Backup
At this point go into Clockwork recovery and restore the Backup. Once the phone reboots use Z4root to unroot. Go and get that here: http://androidforums.com/ally-all-things-root/250670-z4root.html
Now go back up and follow the rest of the guide at this point.

If this helps anyone I would like to know about it. Maybe go down there and hit the Thanks Button too. ;)

P.S. If anyone that has worked on this project or knows ALOT about it... and you want to take this post and organize it a little. Lemme know. It has grown over the past year and can be confusing. I just dont have as much time anymore since I need to play with my two year old. LOL

Nand flashes contain information for each indvidual device i do not see this as a possiblity... not to say it wont work but in the Wii Hacking community the NAND Flash is unique to each wii console... so i dont see any potential in this except a nice semi-brick. If you have tested this on multiple devices feel free to correct me.

See this thread and see what you think.

If memory serves drellisdee told me back in the day that this would work.
Speaking of the Nandroid to another device. I have confirmed this nore than once. I had no problems.

Well I have had really good luck with everyones phone I have used it on.
I have done this with four people with my family members and Jrock hooked me up as well.
I am absolutely not dismissing anything you have to say. I have mad respect for ya bro.
I just think maybe it might be an easy alternative. As anything we do
DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK This I will not be held responsible for any Bricks.
I just believe this will be a lamen mans way of doing things Also this Nandroid has been taken before any Personal info was put on the phone. I have also Put my Brother inlaws phone nandroid on my phone and it worked perfect. The original reason I tried all of this was because if I ever lost my phone and had to replace it I wondered if I could flash it on my new replacement. Drellisdee told me I could. If I remeber correctly. And as I said I have had really good success. Brother your the man for sure But I am going to keep experimenting. Again I want to reiterate you are deffinately one of my favorite peeps. Your knowledge is Insanely impressive. Thanks so much for the input and info.

I tried it and it worked great. My phone has recieved all the OTA updates now. One caveat - I was using the Aloha recovery and the "signed clockwork to stock" zip wouldn't flash. I went into rom manager and switched to clockwork and it worked fine.

Thanks a bunch and thanks button hit!

    "Excellent Smithers!!"

I will look into the Aloha not flashing correct.
your the second person that has had to use Clockwork to get it to work.
Which version of Aloha were you using. The other person was using 1.2.5 and it failed. However I have been able to use it with version 1.2.4
I have not tried 1.2.5 myself yet.

useing igor voice: (Awesome!! I love consistent data.) :D

Ok I left out a step when your flashing signed clockwork to stock recovery. You must turn off the Verification when using this with Aloha for this zip to work it. Try that and see if that works.

So apparently it did not keep its signed status when I modified the file.
    interesting

Or did you just do the Signed_clockwork_to Stock_Recovery.zip with Clockwork?

Hey i just thought of something...Since this wont report the correct version information that could cause issues with OTA updates. What version is this based off?
  22. dmoriarty

    dmoriarty Active Member

That jibes with the error message I got when I did it. Great work.
  23. swc2001

    swc2001 Well-Known Member

This is based from before I ever took any OTA updates.
I believe If Iam not mistaken It is zv6.
Ima have to check to make certain.

No one has had an issues. I hope it stays that way. :)

Ok did a lot of research. At the time of backup I had never updated the phone with an OTA However I Loaded that old Nandroid whilst having ZVC It was apparent by the baseband of the Nandroid I had MV7
Now I put my own phone at risk to answer unanswered questions.
So I used my Nandroid and went back completely Stock. I also got rid of recovery via signed clockwork to stock recovery.zip I being at ZVC took the OTA update for ZVB which was 24.9 MB It flashed over and now my system was back to ZVB. Now a few minutes later the OTA install came up again. This time it was 13.3 MB So I installed it and Now I am back to ZVC. I was very pleased everything went so smoothly. Now I am safely back to my faithful Nandroid of Velocity.3 I took screen shots of My versions during each itteration of the process for those who are interested. Just PM me If you want them.
