And now I'm having problems again with the darn "installation aborted" sign.

I would go ahead an install the 3.1.1 recovery, i have never had any problems with it.

Just keep in mind that any .zip files you put on the sdcard will need to be /sdcard/sdx/zip after you install 3.1.1 or you will not see them listed when you try to apply zip.

Ok...that one worked,...yay! All those ugly apps are gone!

Only weird thing is, I have 2 gallery icons in the launcher now? Weird...

ETA: Oh crap, I didn't have the zip file in that specific folder. It still installed. Should I redo it?

For LPB? Nah, I thought it looked neat but never used it because it slowed down my phone, lol. Now I'm used to and like the fly in flat launcher better.

It seems that SDX made it's own folder and moved the zip file into it. So in the future if I make another ROM, do I just remove that one and replace it with the new zip file?

I just rename them so i know whats in them, you can keep as many as your sdcard can hold on there.

I know you said back up, are my stock apps backed up on my SD card? It said they would be in the kitchen.

Your welcome, yes any apps removed by the kitchen are backed up to /sdcard/sdx/backup/app. Another, easier way to backup you apps is to do a data backup from recovery. This saves all apps, user settings, icon locations etc. No downloads necessary.
