I bought phone holder for car, and there is two problems bugging me:

1 since holder is pressing camera button is there any way to disable its functionality temporarily (same question for volume buttons too)?

2 Is there any app that can take phone to speakerphone mode when I answer it during car drive?

    Thank you for help.

I also have the problem you describe in 1.
regarding no. 2: look for an app called Car Mode.

It sounds you want to software-disable all side buttons. "Maybe" an app could intercept and ignore all those button presses (I don't think so), but remember that still eats cpu time and battery.

Different solution suggestion: glue match sticks (or similar) to the sides of the phone right next to where the buttons are, so the holder "grabs" the case via the matches instead of the buttons -- or, naturally, glue the match sticks to the car holder right next to where the buttons would end up: same effect, but different ( probably better) mod job. :)

I think in terms of aesthetics, cutting a hole in the holder where the camera button goes might be better. That's what I did to my phone case, except I didn't really cut a hole, but merely made the existing hole deeper.

Yeah, there's a thread somewhere here with the case 'mod' I did.

I've a similar issue with my car holder; I've found if I clip it higher in the mount than is designed, I can align it so that the edges miss the buttons. Dunno if that'll work for you without seeing your mount, but it might be something to try?

under flight mode a-gps doesnt work (since gsm signal is off). Intresting, on windows mobile 6.0 i could turn off phone functionality, but wifi worked, on android i cant do that. How to do call divert for all calls?
