Icons in Home screen's folders also appear on apps screens.

I made the folders to keep similar applications together.

That's fine, but the icons for the applications in those folders still remain on the apps screens.
They're not necessary and serve no useful purpose.

How can I get rid of them without affecting the icons/applications in the Home screen's folders?

I use ... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.launcher.prime&hl=en ... and it allows me to hide the icons in the app drawer.

I chose to create another folder in the app drawer and move the ones I don't want to see into that page. If I ever want to get to any of those I know where to find them. Otherwise I just never open that folder.

Thank you Thom, but that seems to be overcomplicated for something which I would have thought would (should) be quite easy.

I think I will simply put the folders in one of the apps screens instead of the home. Much cleaner and simpler.

How you approach it is entirely up to you.

One bf the two major impacts on me was discovering Nova Launcher Prime. Is solves ever customization problem Ii had. It also allows you to backup the layout so you can restore it after doing a Factory Data Reset.
